2026 four-star OT Samuel Roseborough names Longhorns as finalists

Longhorns get good news on the Samuel Roseborough front

On Tuesday, Texas Longhorns football got good news on the recruiting front. Offensive tackle Samuel Roseborough revealed his top five schools, and the Longhorns made the cut. The other teams on the list were Ohio State, Texas A&M, LSU, and Florida State. For teams needing help on the offensive line, the 2026 recruit has been a popular target.

Roseborough is a four-star prospect and is ranked as the 12th-best offensive tackle in his class by On3. While Florida State is currently seen as the favorite, that hasn’t stopped Texas. They have had Rosebrough to campus for two unofficial visits during the recruiting process.

If Texas can add Rosebrough, their offensive line would get a significant boost. After losing multiple linemen, including Kelvin Banks Jr., to the NFL Draft, head coach Steve Sarkisian has had to retool the last few months. That has made pursuing players like Rosebrough a priority.

While the recruiting window is far from over, the Longhorns are building an impressive 2026 class. It includes five-star quarterback Dia Bell,four-star receiver Chris Stewart, four-star offensive tackle Max Wright, and three-star inside offensive lineman Nicolas Robertson. A trio of Wright, Robertson, and Roseborough would not be easy to face.

As the recruiting process continues, Roseborough will be a prospect to watch. Now that his list has been narrowed down, a final decision may not be far behind. The Longhorns hope it ends with the Florida native deciding to start his college career in Austin.
