One of the premier linebacker prospects in the 2026 recruiting class has now reportedly narrowed his list of finalists down to three, with the Alabama Crimson Tide among the programs included.
That prospect is Cincere Johnson, who announced a final three Tuesday of Alabama, Ohio State, and Penn State. At the moment, a commitment date is not set for Johnson.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Johnson is currently ranked as the nation’s No. 101 overall player in the 2026 class, as well as the No. 6 linebacker. A four-star prospect, Johnson also ranks as the No. 3 player in the state of Ohio where the linebacker attends Glenville High School.
At the moment, Alabama’s 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 34 nationally according to the 247Sports Team Rankings with five commitments. Should he commit, Johnson would become the first linebacker in that group.
