Florida offensive coordinator Russ Callaway received a raise to $675,000 for the 2025 season, up from $550,000.Several other Florida assistant coaches also received raises, including co-defensive coordinator Ron Roberts and defensive line coach Gerald Chatman.

Callaway’s contract, obtained by the Gainesville Sun through an open records request, is a two-year, $1.4 million deal. He will make $675,000 next season and $725,000 in 2026. Last season, as co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach, Callaway made $550,000.
Though Callaway was promoted to the OC role in February, it appears that head coach Billy Napier still intends to hang on to play calling entering his fourth season. Last season, the Florida Gators ranked 12th in the SEC in total offense (386.9 ypg) and 11th in scoring offense (28.3 ppg).
“The installations, the scripts, the unit meetings. I think just being in front of players on a consistent basis, I thought he did a great job in that role last year,” Napier said of Callaway. “And I think he’ll take on even more in this cycle. I’m excited about it. We certainly ― Russ is deserving. I think he’s got the respect of the staff and respect of the players, and really one of the better young offensive minds I think in college football.”
