MSU football offers 2027 St. Louis WR Laron Baker Jr.

Michigan State joins Indiana, Kansas State and Wisconsin as big-time schools to offer 2027 wide receiver prospect Laron Baker Jr.

Michigan State football is the latest power four school to extend an offer to a wide receiver from the St. Louis area.

Laron Baker Jr. of East St. Louis, Missouri announced on Tuesday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. Baker made the offer from Michigan State known by posting on his social media X account.

Baker is currently an unranked prospect in 247Sports and Rivals’ rating systems. He is listed at 5-foot-10 and 172 pounds, and plays for East St. Louis High.

Michigan State is one of nearly 10 schools to already extend an offer to Baker, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Indiana, Kansas State, Wisconsin, Kent State, Western Illinois, Sacramento State and Toledo. Baker has also received interest from Illinois, taking an unofficial visit there last month.

Michigan State currently has one commit in the 2027 class: 4-star safety Khalil Terry of Tustin, Calif.
