Vols offer scholarship to 2027 football prospect from Georgia

Tennessee is recruiting prospects for its 2027 football signing class. The Vols offered four-star running back Caden Waye a scholarship on Tuesday.

“Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee,” Waye said.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect is from Ola High School in McDonough, Georgia. 247Sports ranks Waye as the No. 13 running back in 2027 and No. 18 player in Georgia.

USC was the first school to offer Waye a scholarship on June 20, 2024. Additional scholarship offers to the 2027 running back include Toledo, Georgia State, Indiana, Georgia Southern, Oregon, Arkansas, Arkansas State, South Carolina, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Syracuse, Duke, Ohio State, Western Kentucky and UAB.

Tennessee does not have a commitment in its 2027 football recruiting class. The Vols have seven commits in their 2026 recruiting class: Quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, wide receiver Tyran Evans, linebacker Braylon Outlaw and defensive lineman C.J. Edwards.
