The Georgia Bulldogs have been predicted to land another five-star commitment in the class of 2026. Georgia, who recently landed a verbal commitment from five-star quarterback recruit Jared Curtis, could be on the verge of adding another five-star in offensive tackle recruit Jackson Cantwell.
However, the latest prediction is not for Georgia to land Cantwell. Jake Reuse of On3 predicts that Georgia will land a commitment from five-star tight end recruit Mark Bowman, who is the No. 22 recruit in the class of 2026. Bowman is the second-ranked tight end in the country and the No. prospect in California.
He’s drawn comparisons to former Georgia legend Brock Bowers. In fact, Bowman has a lot in common with Bowers. Both players are from California and wear No. 19. Bowman (6-foot-4, 230-pounds) is also a similar size to Bowers. 247Sports even goes as far as to name Bowman’s player comparison as Brock Bowers.
Bowman plays high school football for Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. Mater Dei has one of the top high school football programs in the country and is where Georgia star running back Nate Frazier played during his high school days.
Who are Bowman’s top schools?
Mark Bowman’s top schools are the Alabama Crimson Tide, Oregon Ducks, Texas Longhorns, USC Trojans and Georgia. He’s expected to take official visits to each of his top schools over the next several weeks as he prepares to make a decision.
Bowman is slated to visit coach Kirby Smart and Georgia on June 13. UGA already has a commitment from four-star class of 2026 tight end Lincoln Keyes.
