The Oregon Ducks are continuing their push in the 2026 recruiting cycle, putting work in ahead of the summer months and scheduling visits with some of the nation’s top players. One of those top players, 4-star cornerback Camren Hamiel, announced on Friday that he is cutting down his recruitment to four teams and setting a visit date to Eugene.
The Ducks landed among the top schools for Hamiel, who is rated by the 247Sports composite as the No. 223 player in the nation and No. 21 CB in the 2026 class. Hamiel is also the No. 1 ranked player in the state of Arizona for the class.
Along with the Ducks, Hamiel is focused on Penn State, Texas A&M, and Nebraska.
Hamiel will make it out to Eugene for an official visit on June 13, which is setting up to be a big weekend for the Ducks. With Hamiel, Oregon will also host the likes of 5-star QB Ryder Lyons, 5-star CB Brandon Arrington, 5-star CB Elbert Hill, and 5-star S Jett Washington, among many others.
The Ducks have been very good at taking some of the top talent from the state of Arizona over the years. In the 2025 class, Oregon landed 4-star WR Cooper Perry, the No. 2 player from the state, and they grabbed 5-star EDGE Elijah Rushing, the No. 1 player in Arizona in the 2024 class. A year before that, Oregon landed both Cole Martin and A’Mauri Washington, the No. 3 and No. 5 players from Arizona as well.
