Bastrop defensive lineman Tiki Hola committed Saturday morning to Notre Dame over SMU and USC. The 2026 four-star prospect is the 35th ranked defensive lineman in the nation according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
The addition of Hola gives the Fighting Irish the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation, sitting right behind the Trojans. Measuring in at 6-foot-2, 285 pounds, Hola recorded 102 total tackles, 10 for loss and three forced fumbles in his breakout junior season.
“They have a different type of culture over there,” Hola said about Notre Dame in a report from On3. “The love that they put towards these athletes and everything — just the love that they have for this game and that they always are checking up on everybody and everything.”
Bastrop finished with an above .500 record for the first time since 2019 this past season, with four-star quarterback Weston Nielsen leading the offense to the playoffs. They won their first district championship since 2009, defeating Liberty Hill 35-31 in the final regular season game. Hola recorded 17 total tackles in that game with seven of them being solo takedowns.
