Five-star offensive tackle recruit Jackson Cantwell is predicted to commit to the Georgia Bulldogs over the Oregon Ducks, Miami Hurricanes and Ohio State Buckeyes. Cantwell is the nation’s top ranked recruit in the class of 2026.
Cantwell committing to Georgia would not come as a much of a surprise. The five-star took one final visit to the University of Georgia ahead of his May 13 at 2:45 p.m. commitment time. Five-star Georgia quarterback commitment Jared Curtis attended Cantwell’s visit in an attempt to convince Cantwell to commit to the Bulldogs.
247Sports predicts that Cantwell will commit to Georgia. However, Cantwell is far from the only elite recruit projected to commit to the Bulldogs. Four-star wide receiver Ryan Mosley, three-star athlete Tyriq Green, three-star wide receiver Craig Daindridge, three-star defensive lineman Carter Luckie and three-star offensive lineman Breck Kolojay have all been predicted to commit to Georgia in recent days.
Cantwell would be Georgia’s second five-star offensive line commitment over the past two recruiting cycles. The 6-foot-8, 300-pound offensive tackle plays high school football for Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri. Cantwell is the top offensive lineman in the nation and the best recruit in Missouri.
Cantwell is the son of two Olympic athletes and is one of the top throwers (shot put and discus) in the country. He’s expected to compete in track and field wherever he ends up.
Coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have the No. 10 recruiting class in the country ahead of Cantwell’s commitment. The Bulldogs have nine total commitments including a recent verbal pledge from four-star safety Jordan Smith. Georgia has one commitment on the offensive line from four-star Buford standout Graham Houston.
