Badgers beat out Iowa, Minnesota for 2026 LB Aden Reeder

The Wisconsin Badgers secured a commitment from 2026 three-star linebacker Aden Reeder, he announced on Monday.

A native of Ohio, the 6’3, 210-pound linebacker chose Wisconsin over fellow Big Ten rivals Iowa and Minnesota, who were each expected to get an official visit for Reeder.

Reeder is the first commitment for defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Mike Tressel in the 2026 cycle, becoming the seventh overall commit in the class for the Badgers. Five of those have come since the start of April.

Reeder had been on campus multiple times since picking up his offer from Wisconsin back in early February, including for the Badgers’ Junior Day in March, and now is the third commitment on the defensive side of the ball for Wisconsin.

The linebacker had planned an official visit to Wisconsin for the weekend of June 6th, with ones to Iowa and Minnesota sandwiched between that. Now, he brings the Badgers a key piece in their linebacker room for 2026, where the team could take one to two more players.

Other linebackers taking official visits to Wisconsin include three-stars. TJ White and Mason Marsden.
