5-star EDGE Anthony Jones to visit Ducks

The Oregon Ducks have been making some waves in the recruiting world over the past several weeks, landing commitments from 5-star players and being predicted to grab several more before the class is signed and delivered this winter.

When you look at the remaining uncommitted 5-star players in the class of 2026, Oregon is in on a number of them, currently favored to land guys like 5-star QB Ryder Lyons and 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho. On Thursday, the Ducks learned that they would get an official visit from another 5-star player, EDGE Anthony Jones.

Jones, who is rated by the 247Sports composite as the No. 15 player in the class and the No. 3 EDGE, stands at 6-foot-3, 240 pounds. He will take an official visit to Oregon this summer on June 13. Jones will also take OVs to the Auburn Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Texas A&M Aggies, and Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Ducks recently picked up 5-star prospect in Richard Wesley, who committed to Oregon last weekend with a fun video of he and head coach Dan Lanning jumping into a pool on his visit to Eugene. We will see how Jones’ recruitment plays out, but adding him to the class alongside Wesley would be massive for Oregon going forward.
