Michigan State will be hosting an Iowa State commit for an official visit in a few weeks.
One day after picking up an offer from the Spartans, three-star safety Brayden Thomas has announced he’s locked in an official visit to Michigan State for later this month. Thomas posted on his social media X account that he will take an official visit to Michigan State on the weekend of May 30.
Thomas is a three-star safety in the 2026 class that is currently committed to Iowa State. He has been committed to the Cyclones since February but this latest recruiting development with the Spartans could mean he’s open to flipping towards Michigan State.
Thomas ranks as the No. 67 safety in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 30 player from Ohio and No. 818 player in the country.
Michigan State is one of more than 10 schools to offer Thomas, according to 247Sports. Some of the other notable schools to offer him (other than Michigan State and Iowa State) are James Madison, Miami (OH), Toledo and Colorado State.
