BYU’s recruiting class of 2026 is shaping up to be a good one. With two four-star recruits already in hand, the Cougars are looking to fill out the class with more difference makers.
Receiver remains a position of need for the future, with many of the current producers on the squad being upperclassmen. It’s always a good sign when the Cougars can flip a recruit who previously had committed to a power program.
Receiver/athlete Terrance Saryon committed to Washington last November. However, the Vancouver, WA native then decommitted this week, flipping to BYU after visiting Provo last week.
The previously Big 10-bound athlete was a standout receiver for Evergreen in southwestern Washington. At 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, he projects as a speedy, shifty slot receiver with some upside as a returner.
As of now, BYU has more size than they do top-end speed in the receiver room, especially among the lowerclassmen. Saryon adds a welcome dose of speed as a pure slot threat.
He posted over 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns last fall.
BYU currently ranks 33rd in the 2026 recruiting class. It’s shaping up to be one of their best football classes ever. Saryon is the 8th commitment in the 2026 class and the third highest rated recruit in the class.
Saryon is a big win for BYU. The Washington Huskies had the three-star wideout in their own state before he flipped to the Cougars. BYU came into Husky territory and flipped him to Cougar Blue.
BYU is building something special with their 2026 class.
