Michigan State football offers ATH Austin Barrett of Paramus, N.J.

Michigan State football is the latest power four program to extend an offer to an athlete from New Jersey.

Austin Barrett of Paramus, N.J. announced last week that he’s received an offer from Michigan State. Barrett made the offer known by posting on his social media X account.

Barrett is an athlete in the 2027 class. He is currently not ranked and unrated by both 247Sports and Rivals. Barrett plays for Paramus Catholic and is teammates with Anthony Lopez Jr., who also picked up an offer from the Spartans last week.

While Barrett is currently not ranked, that won’t last for too much longer based on the big-time schools showing interest in his talents. Michigan State is one of more than 10 schools to extend him an offer, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Auburn, Boston College, Duke, Minnesota, NC State, Syracuse, Wisconsin, East Carolina, Temple and UConn.
