Even in his retirement from coaching, former Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban is still winning awards.
Announced on Tuesday night, Saban has won the 2025 Sports Emmy Award for “outstanding personality/emerging on-air talent” from his role on ESPN’s flagship college football morning show “College GameDay” this past season.
Saban’s first season on “College GameDay,” the former Alabama head coach was part of countless moments from the college football show this past fall. The former long-time Alabama coach also garnered praise for his analysis on games and players, and seemed like a perfect fit on one of college football’s top shows during year one.
Saban is now set to return to ESPN’s “College GameDay” next season, this time with a new award in his lengthy trophy case.
