Vols make top five schools for 2026 football prospect

A 2026 Tennessee football prospect announced his top five schools.

Four-star quarterback Legend Bey included the Vols in his top five schools, along with West Virginia, Ohio State, Duke and Texas A&M, according to Steve Wiltfong of On3.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect is from North Forney High School in Forney, Texas. 247Sports ranks Bey as the No. 21 athlete in 2026 and No. 49 player in Texas. On3 ranks the 2026 quarterback as a four-star.

Tennessee offered a scholarship to Bey on April 6. He has a trio of visits scheduled in June, including Tennessee on June 6.

Additional SEC programs to offer Bey a scholarship include Arkansas, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Georgia.

Tennessee has eight commitments in its 2026 football recruiting class: quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, wide receiver Tyran Evans, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, defensive lineman C.J. Edwards and defensive lineman Zach Groves.
