Windermere 2026 CB CJ Bronaugh talks recruiting, official visits
Windermere four-star cornerback CJ Bronaugh has been one of the state’s fastest rising recruits this year. He’s taking four official visits.
WINDERMERE – CJ Bronaugh remains committed to Nebraska, but Florida and Florida State will get a chance to try to flip him this summer.
Windemere’s standout cornerback, ranked No. 29 on the USA Today Florida Network top 100, has official visits scheduled to Nebraska, Florida, Florida State and Penn State. Bronaugh also took unofficial visits to Florida and Florida State during the spring.
“I’m mostly locked on Nebraska right now,” Bronaugh said on May 22 after Windermere hosted Osceola and Edgewater in a spring jamboree. “Things can happen, but I just want to get the experience and see the coaches and the culture there and see if I can see myself playing there.”
Bronaugh is one of the fastest rising seniors in the state over the past few months. He followed up an MVP performance at the Under Armour Next camp in Orlando in February with another elite track season.
Bronaugh won gold in the 100 meters in Class 4A on May 10, marking his second consecutive state title in the event. He won with a time of 10.34 seconds, topping a strong field that included several other football players such as Mandarin’s Jaylen Lewis and Flanagan’s Jacob Thomas.
Louisville, Oklahoma State. Oregon, Texas A&M, Florida and Missouri all have offered the 6-foot-1, 166-pound Bronaugh since February. He committed to Nebraska in late November.
“Its been amazing,” Bronaugh said. “It’s really a blessing. Just thankful for God, the places he’s been putting me in.”
