One of the top targets on Auburn’s 2026 recruiting board will compete in a prestigious event this summer.
Landon Duckworth, a four-star quarterback from Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama, received an invite this week to the Elite 11 Finals, which will be held in Los Angeles, California, June 17-19. Duckworth was one of 20 quarterbacks from the 2026 cycle to receive and accept an invite to the event, joining Texas commit Dia Bell, USC commit Jonas Williams, and Florida commit Will Griffin.
Duckworth is the nation’s No. 6 quarterback by 247Sports thanks to a healthy mix of size and dual-threat ability. The 6-3, 190-pound quarterback passed for 3,439 yards and 39 touchdowns for the Jackson Aggies last season, and added 648 yards and 12 scores on the ground. In the AHSAA Class 4A state championship game, Duckworth threw for 330 yards and five touchdowns.
After missing out on three-star quarterback Travis Burgess, who will also compete in the Elite 11 Finals, to North Carolina earlier this week, Auburn has made Duckworth the highest priority in its quest for a quarterback from the 2026 cycle. Duckworth visited Auburn last weekend and will stop by Florida State, Georgia, and South Carolina before making his way to California for the Elite 11, and will end his tour on June 20 at Ole Miss.
Auburn will aim to keep Duckworth in state this cycle, but will have to fight off favorite Ole Miss to land him before signing day.
