Nebraska football offers Texas safety Jayquan Snell

Nebraska football defensive backs coach Addison Williams was in Texas early this week to meet with the top 2027 safety prospect, Jayquan Snell.

According to Rivals’ rankings, Snell is the 21st-ranked player nationally and the fifth-ranked player in his class from the state of Texas. He has an extensive offer sheet totaling 32 offers. Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, and Oregon are some of the bigger schools extending offers to him.

Snell is a dynamic playmaker at the high school level. According to statistics from Maxpreps.com, he recorded 86 tackles, seven pass deflections, and a fumble recovery.

Nebraska football has only one commitment in the 2027 class, in quarterback Trae Taylor. They have been busy on the recruiting trail this week, extending offers to some of the top prospects in the country. The Huskers could use additional dynamic defenders to round out the unit for the future. Snell would fit the bill.
