Georgia football seeking to flip elite Georgia Tech commit

The Georgia Bulldogs are working to flip the commitment of three-star Brooks County (Quitman, Georgia) cornerback Traeviss Stevenson, who is currently verbally pledged to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Georgia has will received official visit from Stevenson and he has the Bulldogs last on his list of visits, which could be a good sign.

Stevenson committed to the Yellow Jackets on March 18, with the Bulldogs entering the recruitment a few weeks later. Despite Georgia’s persistent efforts, Stevenson has remained firm in his commitment to Georgia Tech so far. He’s the Yellow Jackets’ second-highest ranked commitment in the class of 2026.

With Georgia in multiple recruiting battles at cornerback shows that they are very interested into adding talent into the cornerback room. Four-star recruits like CJ Hester, Peyton Dyer, and Chauncey Kennon are top targets for Georgia. UGA will be sure to make sure they get several cornerback commitments by the end of this recruiting cycle.

Stevenson showcased his athleticism at an Under Armour camp, recording an impressive 4.51 laser dash and a 4.46 shuttle. Simply put, he’s a highly versatile athlete with significant potential that Georgia sees and wants to develop. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound corner has excellent size and is ranked as the No. 62 player at his position in the country.

Georgia has developed plenty of cornerbacks that are in the NFL like Tyson Campell, Kamari Lassiter, Eric Stokes, and more that provides a strong recruiting pitch for prospects like Stevenson.
