Soren Fifer has picked up his second Big Ten Conference football scholarship offer.
The Morton offensive lineman announced on social media Wednesday that Iowa is the second college football program to offer. Fifer, a 6-foot-7, 295-pound all-Mid-Illini Conference second-team selection, got an offer from Illinois earlier this month.
“After an amazing phone call with (offensive line coach George Barnett),” Fifer posted, “I am blessed and excited to announce I have received an offer to play football at THE University Of Iowa.”
The left tackle, a member of the Class of 2027, helped the Potters’ offensive’ line open holes for 2,401 rushing yards and 32 TDs during last season. Morton finished 4-5 overall and was tied-for-third in the Mid-Illini Conference at 4-3.
Morton opens the 2025 season by hosting Mahomet-Seymour on Aug. 29.
