MADISON – The Wisconsin football program’s first big official visit weekend of the year yielded immediate results.
Arthur Scott, a defensive lineman from Streetsboro High School in Ohio, announced his commitment to the Badgers’ 2026 class on June 1. He was one of 16 players on campus over the weekend for an official visit.
Scott, who lists himself as 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds on his X profile, is the eighth known recruit in the Badgers class and first of those prospects projected to the play the defensive line.
Scott announced his commitment on social media. He is listed as a three-star recruit by Rivals and 247sports.
“We home baby,” he wrote on X.
Scott made his commitment before taking officials visits to Rutgers, Michigan State and Cincinnati.
According to the Kent Ravenna Record-Courier, Scott made 80 tackles last season that included 26.5 tackles for a loss.
He was named his district’s defensive player of the year after helping Streetsboro complete an undefeated regular season. He went on to receive first-team all-Ohio distinction from the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association.
