Minnesota football adds OL Daniel McMorris to 2026 recruiting class

Oklahoma’s top offensive line recruit has made his college decision.

2026 Norman North offensive lineman Daniel McMorris announced his commitment to Minnesota on Sunday.  He chose the Gophers after receiving more than 20 offers from several Division I programs.

McMorris is ranked No. 13 on The Oklahoman’s initial Super 30 rankings of the state’s top college football recruits in the upcoming senior class.

McMorris is a three-star recruit, the nation’s No. 39-ranked offensive lineman in his class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

The 6-foot-6, 270-pound lineman chose Minnesota over the likes of Arizona State, Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas State, Stanford, Texas Tech, Tulsa and Wisconsin, among others.
