Wisconsin football received a 247Sports crystal ball prediction to land class of 2026 running back Amari Latimer on Thursday.
The prediction came from Wisconsin insider Jon McNamara and was given with a ‘medium’ confidence level.
Wisconsin hosted Latimer on an official visit over the weekend. The top-ranked running back is currently choosing between the Badgers, Michigan Wolverines, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, Texas Longhorns and Tennessee Volunteers. He has upcoming visits scheduled to Michigan on June 6, Texas on June 13 and Georgia on June 20.
247Sports lists Latimer as a four-star recruit. He’s specifically ranked as the No. 287 overall player in the class of 2026, No. 17 running back and No. 30 recruit from his home state of Georgia. Notably, the top prospect is the younger brother of current Wisconsin cornerback Geimere Latimer, who transferred to the program this winter after a standout season at Jacksonville State.
McNamara is not alone in his prediction. On3’s Steve Wiltfong also recently picked Latimer to choose the Badgers.
Wisconsin’s class of 2026 currently ranks No. 27 in the nation and No. 8 in the Big Ten after a flurry of recent commitments. Specifically, the program has already landed five recruits from its first official visit weekend — tight end Jack Janda, tight end Jack Sievers, defensive lineman Arthur Scott, linebacker Ben Wenzel and defensive lineman Djidjou Bah. Those additions bring the class up to 11 total commitments.
Latimer was one of Wisconsin’s top targets to visit over the weekend. He would be the program’s first blue-chip addition in the class if he commits. Other notable four-star recruits to visit on May 30 include linebacker McHale Blade, wide receiver Jayden Petit, offensive tackle Kamari Blair and athlete Jackson Ford.
