Nation’s top RB recruit reacts after visiting UGA football

Five-star running back recruit Savion Hiter is fresh off an official visit to the University of Georgia over the weekend. Hiter, who is the top ranked running back in the class of 2026, is down to four schools.

Georgia Bulldogs running backs coach Josh Crawford has visited Hiter several times in an effort to recruit the elite running back. Crawford and Georgia hosted Hiter on his recent official visit on the weekend of June 6.

Following Hiter’s visit with Georgia, he posted on social media. “Thank you Georgia football for having my family and I this weekend. How ’bout them dawgs!” said Hiter. The talented running back posted a similar message after his official visit with Ohio State.

Hiter is a 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back who plays for Louisa County High School in Mineral, Virginia. He is the top-ranked recruit in Virginia, per 247Sports. Hiter is the No. 17 overall recruit in the country.

The five-star’s top four schools are Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Tennessee. Hiter has already gone on official visits to Ohio State and Georgia. He has remaining official visits with Michigan (June 13) and Tennessee (June 20).

He does not have a commitment date set yet. The Louisa County standout is a priority recruit for coach Kirby Smart and Georgia football. The Bulldogs still don’t have a commitment from a class of 2026 running back recruit.
