Tennessee is recruiting three years in advance on its 2029 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to quarterback Ty Snell on Monday.
“After an amazing camp yesterday and a great conversation with coach (Joey) Halzle, I am blessed to have earned an offer from Vol football,” Snell announced.
The 6-foot-2, 176-pound is an in-state target from Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. Lipscomb is home to current Vols’ defensive back Kaleb Beasley and linebacker Edwin Spillman.
Snell has not accumulated any recruiting rankings on 247Sports, On3, or Rivals.
Marshall was the first program to offer him a scholarship on Feb. 24. Additional programs to offer Snell a scholarship include Arkansas State, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Memphis.
Tennessee does not have any commitments in its 2029 recruiting class. The Vols have eight commitments in their 2026 recruiting class: quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, wide receiver Tyran Evans, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, defensive lineman C.J. Edwards and defensive lineman Zach Groves.
