Sherrone Moore has done a good job expanding Michigan football’s recruiting department since he took over. Even in recent months, he’s added multiple staff members — whether it’s via the recruiting department or to other analyst positions.
But it appears that Moroe and the Wolverines are losing a favored son to the NFL.
According to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, former maize and blue linebacker and assistant recruiting director for Michigan football, Jack Dunaway, is departing the program. He is being hired by former Wolverines defensive coordinator, current Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald, as a scouting assistant. He departs after one year back on campus working in his current role in the recruiting department.
A local product who played high school ball at Bloomfield Hills (Mich.) Brother Rice, Dunaway followed in his father, Craig’s, footsteps by playing for the Wolverines. He joined the maize and blue as a walk-on in Jim Harbaugh’s first season at the helm in 2015.
Meanwhile, the Wolverines have added former Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary’s running back Tyler Markray and Pitt edge rusher Anthony Johnson to the recruiting department.
