Four-star RB. WR commits to Florida football for 2026 class

Swampcast discusses how Florida football recruiting 2026 class is shaping up so far

The Sun’s Kevin Brockway and Noah Ram talk about Florida football recruiting with Nick Wilson of the USA Today Gannett Florida Network.

Florida football secured its eighth and ninth commitments for the 2026 class, landing pledges from running back Carsyn Baker and wide receiver Marquez Daniel.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Baker rushed for 1,282 yards and 13 TDs last season at Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia. He chose the Florida Gators over offers from South Carolina, Florida State, Alabama and Auburn.

Baker is rated a three-star per 247Sports and a four-star per 247Sports Composite, the 187th-best player nationally and the 15th-best running back in the country.

Per 247Sports recruiting analyst Hudson Standish, Baker is a “Physically imposing upright runner hovering a shade under 6-foot-1, 195 pounds with a blazing track and field profile. Finished his junior season with three straight 100+ yards performances, culminating with a three-touchdown effort in the GHSA AAAAA state final against national powerhouse Milton. Finds success running outside/wide zone, quickly finding a crease and reaching his top-end gear that the majority of Friday night defenders cannot match.”

Daniel, a 6-foot-5, 195-pound receiver from Booker T. Washington High School in Tuskegee, Alabama, is rated as a four-star by both 247Sports and 247Sports composite as the 127th-best player in the 2026 class and the 13th-best wide receiver nationally. He chose Florida over offers from Miami, Kentucky, Louisville and LSU.

At Booker T. Washington High last season, Daniel had 38 catches for 757 yards and 12 TDs.
