Texas has been red hot on the recruiting trail over the last few weeks. Last weekend, they got a pledge from four-star wide receiver Kohen Brown. However, in this day and age of college football, the recruiting process continues until a player officially signs.
A few days after his commitment, Brown canceled official visits to Notre Dame and Ole Miss. On Saturday, Brown let it be known that he isn’t taking any more visits as he has shut down his recruitment and will remain with Texas.
Brown was once committed to USC. However, after he decommitted in May, Texas made him an offer six days later. In less than a month he took an official visit to Austin and that’s all it took to get his commitment.
The Longhorns have the No. 18 recruiting class at the moment per 247Sports with Brown still on board. They hosted a ton of prospects this weekend as well, so their ranking could improve soon.
