Wisconsin is hosting top class of 2026 wide receiver Jayden Petit on a return visit this week, according to 247Sports’ Nick Osen.
Petit, who is one of the program’s top targets in the cycle, is back on campus for an unofficial trip after previously attending the Badgers’ May 30 official visit weekend. Wisconsin is in a tight race for his commitment, along with Oklahoma, North Carolina, Missouri and Tennessee. Petit visited the Sooners and Tar Heels on June 6 and 13, respectively, plus is scheduled to visit the Tigers on June 20. Obviously, Wisconsin hopes to secure a commitment before that date.
247Sports lists Petit as a four-star recruit. He’s specifically ranked as the No. 209 player in the class of 2026, No. 31 wide receiver and No. 30 recruit from the state of Florida. Wisconsin’s class of 2026 already includes three-star wide receiver prospects Tayshon Bardo and Zion Legree. The potential addition of Petit would make the position the clear highlight of the class.
As of June 16, 247Sports has yet to log a crystal ball prediction for the wide receiver’s landing spot.
Wisconsin’s class of 2026 currently ranks No. 33 nationally and No. 11 in the Big Ten with 13 players committed. That group took a major step forward with the recent additions of Legree and defensive back Zachary Taylor.
In addition to Petit, the Badgers are still awaiting commitment decisions from top uncommitted targets, including four-star RB Amari Latimer, four-star OT Kamari Blair and four-star athlete Jackson Ford. The program is still working to land its first blue-chip prospect of the cycle.
