Atticus Tillman, a top-rated Colorado defensive back, has committed to Colorado State University’s football team.The 6-foot-2, 170-pound safety is a three-star recruit and ranks highly in Colorado’s 2026 recruiting class.Tillman had a strong junior season with 40 tackles, three interceptions, and 11 passes broken up.
One of the top-rated defensive backs in Colorado has said he will join the Colorado State football team.
Atticus Tillman of Arvada West High School announced his verbal commitment to the Rams with a post on X on June 17.
Tillman is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound safety. He’s rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, which ranks him as the No. 18 player in Colorado in the 2026 recruiting class and top defensive back.
As a junior in 2024, Tillman had 40 tackles (25 solo), three interceptions, 11 passes broken up and a forced fumble.
Tillman has reported offers from Navy, Bowling Green, Georgia State, New Mexico State and Portland State.
CSU didn’t sign any Colorado players in its 2025 recruiting class, which Jay Norvell said was a down year for recruits in the state. Norvell has said the 2026 group in Colorado would be a bigger focus and Tillman is the second commit from the state so far (along with Dakota Ridge offensive lineman Jace Winchester).
