Recruiting fireworks on the Fourth of July are becoming a tradition for Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles. They have a new addition to their 2026 recruiting class, and it’s another blue-chip. Georgia defensive lineman Tico Crittendon has pulled the trigger for the garnet and gold.
Crittendon is a 6-foot-4, 300-pound linebacker from Lithonia, Georgia. He racked up three dozen offers and FSU beat out some major programs for his services, including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, LSU Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, North Carolina Tar Heels, NC State Wolfpack, Oregon Ducks, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggies, Texas Tech Red Raiders, and Southern Cal Trojans.
247Sports Composite has Crittendon as the 336th best player in the nation (40th best DL, 42nd best in GA). He can play at multiple spots along the defensive line thanks to his blend of athleticism, power, and quickness. He’s a space-eater with powerful legs (squatted 460 pounds last season and only getting stronger) and can throw blockers aside when needed. He projects as a starter along the defensive line once he adjusts to the college game. At worst, he should be a reliable high-usage rotational piece for DL coach Terrance Knighton.
Crittendon was limited to five games in his junior campaign but totaled 25 tackles (15 for loss), two forced fumbles, and a sack.
