Florida rose to the top of Pensacola Catholic High five-star edge rusher Trenton Henderson’s recruitment following an official visit over the weekend, according to 247Sports.
“As of right now, Florida’s my school to beat…” Henderson said to Swamp247. “… The people around the facility, how they want to use me, and they just show me every time like, you’re my guy I want… They checked all of my boxes.”
The Gators are the first in-state program to get him on campus for an official visit, but Auburn, LSU, Michigan and USC have all hosted him for one. Louisiana State is the team chasing the Tigers after also making a strong impression on Henderson during an official visit at the end of May.
Henderson will be at Texas this weekend and should be on official visits through the summer period. He made a surprise visit to Florida State on Wednesday, mostly to watch his younger brother participate in a camp, according to On3. He doesn’t have a date set for his commitment but says he’ll end his official visits with the Alabama-Florida State game on Aug. 30, which could bode well for the Seminoles.
