Football recruiting: Florida among biggest winners so far in June

Many top Florida high school football players announced their college decisions in June.Florida Gators had a successful recruiting period, securing 10 commitments in two weeks, including highly-rated players like Justin Williams and Kaiden Hall.UCLA made an impact by recruiting top offensive linemen Micah Smith and Johnnie Jones from Florida.
We’re a little more than halfway through the month of June and, as expected, some of the top high school football players in Florida have announced their college decisions.
St. Thomas Aquinas defensive back Justice Fitzpatrick (No. 12 USA TODAY Florida Network Top 100) committed to Georgia. UCLA got a trio of Top 100 commitments, including Vero Beach teammates Micah “Champ” Smith (No. 14) and Xavier Stinson (No. 89).
Florida had a big haul during the first half of the month, adding Milton athlete/safety Kaiden Hall (No. 23), Buchholz athlete/running back Justin Williams (No. 49) and four others.
Clearwater offensive tackle Samuel Roseborough (No. 17) committed to Texas A&M and American Heritage’s speedy wide receiver Brandon Bennett (No. 37) committed to Florida State.
