Indiana football landed a commitment from Kevontay Hugan, a 3-star defensive lineman in the class of 2026 out of Booker High School in Sarasota, Florida, in early June:
Per the 247Sports composite and as of his commitment, Hugan is the 432nd highest rated prospect in the country, the 46th highest-rated defensive lineman and the 59th highest-rated prospect in the state of Florida, a recruiting hotbed for programs throughout the country.
Hugan’s other offers include Baylor, Illinois, Maryland, Miami, Louisville and Penn State, among others. With an offer sheet like that, he’ll be one to watch this upcoming season for further development. It’s worth noting that he originally committed to Louisville in March, officially visited Indiana on June 6th and promptly flipped his commitment from the Cardinals to the Hoosiers on June 11th.
He doesn’t have a position nailed down and will need to grow into the college game, but there’s plenty to work with based on his overall production.
