The Wisconsin Badgers are moving things along with their 2026 recruiting class, as they’re up to 13 commits in the class after four-star wide receiver Zion Legree verbally pledged over the weekend.
Still, there is work to do for Wisconsin, which is now in wait-and-see mode with a number of top targets, with the school done with official visit weekends for the summer.
The Badgers have rounded out quite a few positions, including quarterback, tight end, and inside linebacker, among others, but there’s still a good amount that needs to be addressed.
So, based on need and prospect value, let’s rank the five most important recruits still on the board for Wisconsin in the 2026 class.
No. 5: Four-star OLB Jackson Ford
Ford is one of the higher-rated recruits that the Badgers have hosted this offseason, coming in as a four-star with some strong competition.
A native of Pennsylvania, Ford has been to Wisconsin, Penn State, and Ohio State, with Michigan coming up this weekend.
By straight value, Ford is one of the top players on Wisconsin’s target list, regardless of position. But, when factoring in the realistic factor, that’s why he comes in at No. 5 on the list.
Wisconsin needs outside linebackers in their 2026 class, and Ford is a big shot. It’s not looking like that partnership will come together at the moment.
No. 4: Three-star OLB Ben Duncum
Wisconsin hosted Duncum on an official visit this past weekend, getting the 6’5, 255-pound outside linebacker on campus.
Duncum, a native of Texas, has had quite a busy summer, with Kansas State, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma State all getting official visits and Kentucky coming up this weekend.
