Four-star quarterback Jaden O’Neal flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to Florida State.O’Neal is the 15th commit for FSU’s 2026 class and the sixth in 10 days.The California native recently moved to Oklahoma and is ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 14 nationally by 247Sports.FSU also secured a commitment from offensive lineman Luke Francis.
After recently decommitting from Oklahoma, four-star quarterback Jaden O’Neal flipped to Florida State football on Sunday, June 22.
FSU has now landed its quarterback to represent the class of 2026. He will be the 15th commit thus far, sixth in a 10-day span.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound quarterback made his official visits to FSU this past week before turning away from OU. He had committed last June.
O’Neal, a Long Beach, California native, played for two high schools and recently moved to Oklahoma to play his final high school season at Mustang.
In back-to-back seasons, he completed 61 percent of his passes. In 2024 at Narbonne High School (Harbor City, California), he threw for 3,040 yards, 28 TDs, and four picks as a junior. In 2023, he threw for 2,475 passing yards and 27 touchdowns while he was at Newport Beach.
According to 247 Sports, O’Neal is ranked No. 1 in the state of Oklahoma and No. 14 overall nationally in the composite rankings. Before FSU, he visited Arizona in May. Other schools that were interested in him were Auburn and Arizona State.
FSU also landed a massive lineman, Luke Francis, a 6-foot-5, 345-pounder who is originally from England and resides in Coral Gables.
