North Oconee star Khamari Brooks commits to UGA football

Four-star edge rusher Khamari Brooks has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Brooks is Georgia’s 19th commitment in the class of 2026. Coach Kirby Smart and Georgia now have the No. 4 recruiting class in the country following Brooks’ commitment.

Brooks is the No. 112 recruit in the country, the No. 14 edge rusher and No. 13 prospect in Georgia, per 247Sports. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound pass rusher is a great athlete and also plays high school basketball.

Brooks plays both outside linebacker and tight end for North Oconee High School in Bogart, Georgia. The elite edge rusher has excellent twitch and a long wingspan.

“I will be committing to the University of Georgia!” said Brooks at his commitment announcement as he revealed a Georgia shirt underneath his sweatshirt.

Brooks came through with a clutch performance for North Oconee in the recent 4A Georgia state championship. He recorded eight tackles and 1 1/2 sacks en route to earning the MVP award for the game. Brooks also hauled in four receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.

Georgia signed one of Brooks’ high school teammates in four-star wide receiver Landon Roldan during the class of 2025.
