As we move through our position-by-positing high school football polls, it’s time to take a look at the the players who are the primary pass-catchers.
Vote for the Guardian Foundation Repair top preseason receiver returning for the 2025 TSSAA football season in the Knoxville area.
We have nine players to choose from. The poll closes at noon on June 26. Click on the image below this article to make your selection.
Here are the candidates.
Tory Beaufort, Maryville: Beaufort was a huge contributor for Bearden’s 9-4 season in 2024 with 51 catches for 885 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran for 307 yards as he takes his talent to Maryville this fall.
Ja’Quan Benton, Oliver Springs: Benton had 790 yards receiving on 34 receptions with 11 touchdowns. He was named Region 2-1A Receiver of the Year after last season.
Dylan Burgess, Heritage: Burgess finished last season with 32 receptions for 467 yards while averaging 14.5 yards per catch. He also had a touchdown.
Jamir Dean, Alcoa: Dean was also named all region along with TSWA All-State after catching 37 passes for 724 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Will Pressley, Oak Ridge: Pressley is among the top pass catchers in the state. The 6-1, 188-pound receiver had 32 receptions for 900 yards and 10 TDs while playing only nine games. The Miami Ohio commit also holds offers from Arkansas State, Air Force and Army among others.
DeZion Jackson, Powell: Jackson had 35 receptions for 405 yards and four touchdowns last season for a Powell team that finished 9-3 in 2024. He also averaged 27.4 yards per kickoff return.
Tyreek King, Catholic: The Tennessee commit was one of the more prolific receivers in the state last season. He caught 49 passes for 1,049 yards and 14 touchdowns. The four-star Catholic standout is the No. 4-ranked prospect in the state who also holds offers from Alabama, Auburn,…
