Alabama football target Khamari Brooks commits to Georgia

One of the nation’s top uncommitted edge rushers, a commitment decision has now officially come from highly-touted 2026 defensive prospect Khamari Brooks.

According to an announcement Monday afternoon on social media, Brooks has officially committed to Georgia, choosing the Bulldogs over Alabama. Brooks had previously narrowed down his list of finalists to Alabama and Georgia.

Per the 247Sports Composite recruiting rankings, Brooks is considered as the nation’s No. 112 overall prospect, along with the No. 14 edge rusher nationally. A four-star prospect, Brooks is also an in-state recruit for Georgia, attending North Oconee High School.

Following Brooks’ commitment to Georgia, Alabama’s class still has two edge rushers committed in four-star’s Jamarion Matthews and Kamhariyan Johnson.
