WATCH: Gadsden County’s Daylen Green, Arkansas commit, talks about his expectations
Gadsden County’s upcoming senior gives his thoughts on the 2025 season and why he commit to Arkansas.
Florida State football made another player flip to join the Tribe26. This time, FSU didn’t have to go too far.
On Tuesday morning, Gadsden County’s lineman Jakobe Green announced on his X page that he has verbally committed to the Seminoles.
This was a day after he decommitted from Mississippi State. Green, who visited the Bulldogs on June 20, has been loyal to the SEC program since February.
However, the Seminoles remain on his tail. The Niceville transfer made numerous unofficial visits to FSU throughout his recruiting process, but made his official visit on May 30.
The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder plays both ways in the trenches but is recruited to play offensive line for the Seminoles. Offensive line coach Herb Hand offered the 3-star player. 247 Sports has Green ranked No. 50 interior lineman and No. 82 in the state.
Last season, Green played right guard for Niceville and saw snaps on defense as well. He registered 24 tackles, nine tackles for loss and three sacks. Niceville went 12-2 and made it to the semifinals of Florida’s 5A playoffs.
Now with Gadsden County, the Jaguars have two notable commits from their senior group. Daylen Green committed to Arkansas two weeks ago.
In back-to-back days, FSU landed three commits and six in the last two weeks. On Monday, FSU landed blue-chip receiver Devin Carter and tight end Xavier Tiller.
The Seminoles now have 18 in the class of 2026 and have moved up to No. 9 nationally in 247 Sports’ team rankings, trailing both Clemson (No. 6) and Miami (No. 7).
