Social media reacts to four-star cornerback committing to Nebraska

The Huskers picked up a four-star cornerback on Monday afternoon, adding to their growing 2026 recruitment class. Cornerback Danny Odem announced his commitment to Nebraska, picking the team over Clemson, Oklahoma, Penn State and Ohio State.

Odem spent this past weekend in Lincoln for his official visit, his third trip to Nebraska in the last six months and his most recent official visit to a D-1 school.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound commit originally started his high school career at Farrell High School in Pennsylvania, where he played for the Steelers until his sophomore year.

In his sophomore season, he tallied 33 tackles, five pass breakups, three interceptions and two forced fumbles on defense. He also hauled in 50 passes for 613 yards and seven touchdowns on offense.

Odem then transferred to The First Academy for his junior season where he racked up 45 tackles, three pass breakups, two interceptions and two forced fumbles across 10 games.

He’s currently the 22nd-ranked corner in the nation and the 30th-ranked prospect in the state of Florida. He is the seventh commitment in the Huskers’ 2026 recruitment class.
