Missouri added a second commitment of the week to its growing 2026 class; this time, in form of an offensive lineman.
Khalief Canty Jr., a three-star offensive lineman from Cass Technical High School in Detroit, has committed to Mizzou, choosing the Tigers over numerous other options.
The announcement came from Canty via his Instagram story on Tuesday evening.
The Detroit product checks in as the 8th best player in Michigan and the 34th interior offensive lineman in the country according to 247Sports.
During his junior season, Canty helped Cass Technical to a state championship which the team hadn’t done in eight years.
Canty becomes the sixth addition to the Tigers’ 2026 class — joining running back Maxwell Warner, quarterback Gavin Sidwar, linebacker Keenan Harris, wide receiver Jabari Brady, and tight end Isaac Jensen.

If Canty gets his hands on you, they probably aren’t coming off until you’re on the ground. In high school Canty was dominant at the line, along with down the field helping on breakout runs. It will be interesting to see how it translates at the top collegiate level.
