Aaron Thomas, three-star 2026 OT, commits to Ohio State football

Aaron Thomas, a three-star offensive tackle from Phoenix, has committed to Ohio State, leaving the Buckeyes with another offensive lineman in their recruiting class for 2026.

He joined Sam Greer, Maxwell Riley and Tucker Smith as the fourth offensive lineman to make a pledge to join the Buckeyes next year.

Thomas is the No. 439 overall prospect and No. 36 offensive tackle in the nation, according to the composite rankings from 247Sports. He has promising size as recruiting services list him as 6 feet 7 and 300 pounds.

He picked the Buckeyes on June 25 over schools such as Florida State, where his father, Eric, was a center from 1995-99. The other finalists were Texas, Texas A&M and Washington.

The Buckeyes first offered Thomas a scholarship in March as his recruitment picked up. He took his official visit a month ago.

The four offensive lineman commits have made their decisions since Tyler Bowen was hired as the offensive line coach in February, replacing Justin Frye who left for the same role in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals.

The group is in position to be larger than the previous cycle when Ohio State signed only three offensive linemen.
