Ohio State football 5-star receiver commit stars in Adidas commercial

You never would have seen this a few years ago, but now it is becoming commonplace. As a five-star prospect, Chris Henry Jr. is one of Ohio State football’s prized recruits in the 2026 class, not even in college yet. However, despite not taking a snap at a big-time college football factory, the days of Name, Image and Likeness have allowed him to take advantage of opportunities given to him for his football skills.

It doesn’t hurt that he’s the son of a former NFL wide receiver, but Henry is starring in an Adidas commercial alongside LSU wide receiver commit Tristen Keys. In the ad, which reads, “Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Nation’s best wide receivers wear Adidas,” Henry is seen catching a newspaper with one hand, with the camera then panning down to his Adidas adizero Death Adder cleats.

Henry already has a pretty big social media following and has been committed to Ohio State since July of 2023, recently shutting down his commitment and being locked in as a Buckeye. If you had told me a decade ago that we’d see high schoolers in ads before they even stepped onto the field in college, I wouldn’t have believed it for one second. It’s the world we live in, and there’s a pretty good chance anyway (okay, very good chance), that Henry ends up being a star.

Wide Receiver U anyone?
