Business is picking up for Keenen Jeune.
The Florida High School Seminoles’ rising senior wide receiver recruiting process is catching steam as the scholarship offers roll in.
On Tuesday, June 24, Florida A&M football offered Jeune when he attended the second annual James Colzie III Prospect Camp.
Jeune has also earned offers from the Rattlers’ Southwestern Athletic Conference opponent Mississippi Valley State and NAIA program Thomas University in nearby Thomasville, Georgia.
The FAMU offeree told the Tallahassee Democrat that he’s also garnering interest from Florida State, Sanford, Stetson, and some NCAA Division II schools.
The school with the edge to land the Tallahassee native’s services has to make him feel at home.
“I’m looking for a place that cares about you ― family,” Jeune said of his ongoing recruiting process. “And then I wouldn’t mind being close to home, either.”
Jeune couldn’t compete on Tuesday due to a minor hamstring injury during an offseason 7-on-7 camp.
However, he still attended the FAMU football prospect camp on Ken Riley Field at Bragg Memorial Stadium to see the facilities and have firsthand interactions with the Rattlers.
Jeune actually got an up-close look at the FAMU football team, who was finishing workouts just ahead of the prospect camp. Watching the team allowed Jeune to envision himself sporting the Orange and Green someday.
“When we got here, the football team was out here training. I was just imagining myself from that perspective,” he explained. “It gives you a real different perspective on things.”
Jeune has options to continue his education and football career in college.
