Clemson football lands 4-star 2026 defensive tackle Keshawn Stancil

Clemson football has landed a big piece for its 2026 defensive line.

Four-star defensive tackle Keshawn Stancil out of Clayton, North Carolina, announced his commitment to the Tigers on Saturday during a ceremony at his high school. Stancil picked Clemson over other top contenders Georgia, NC State, Miami, and Penn State.

Stancil’s recruitment moved quickly once the Tigers extended an offer about a month ago. He first made the trip to Clemson for the Elite Retreat back in March, then returned two weeks ago for an official visit — spending the entire weekend on campus as the only recruit hosted that weekend.

At 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds, Stancil brings size and production to Clemson’s future front. As a junior, he totaled 63 tackles, including 22 tackles for loss and nine sacks. He now becomes the second defensive tackle in Clemson’s 2026 class, joining three-star Kam Cody, who committed in March.

His pledge bumps Clemson’s 2026 class up to 20 total commits and keeps the group firmly in the national top 10. The Tigers’ class currently sits seventh in the 247Sports Team Composite and remains one of the strongest defensive hauls in the country, thanks in part to defensive line coach Nick Eason’s work on the trail.
