Ohio State football unveils players traveling to Big Ten media days

Big Ten football media days are nearly upon us. In fact, it is less than a month away and taking place in Las Vegas this year (sounds like a good road trip).

As is customary, Ohio State will travel in style to the annual spectacle with head coach Ryan Day and a contingent of players to be available for questions from the media, and we just received word on what players will accompany the head coach of the defending College Football Playoff national champions.

The trio that will make the trip to Sin City is safety Caleb Downs, linebacker Sonny Styles, and receiver Jeremiah Smith. All three received All-Big Ten honors last year and are primed to be three of the best players in the conference this coming season.

The event will be held from July 22 through 24 this year and take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the southern end of the famed Las Vegas strip. The three day event will be split up with teams dedicating their time at the podium on one of the three days. For Ohio State, it will take its turn in front of the media throng on July 22. Here’s how the team schedule presents with the Big Ten Network carrying coverage as usual:

July 22: Ohio State, Rutgers, Nebraska, Maryland, Indiana and IllinoisJuly 23: Minnesota, Northwestern, Oregon, Penn State, Washington and WisconsinJuly 24: Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, UCLA and USC

We don’t need to tell you that the season is getting close when we start talking about Big Ten media days. We are just two months away from college football returning to a television, streaming device, or stadium near you very, very soon.
