Check out everything Kansas football coach Lance Leipold had to say Friday as the Jayhawks finished up spring ball and looked ahead.

LAWRENCE — As Kansas football’s preparations for the 2025 season continue, during Big 12 Conference media days on July 9 the Jayhawks will be in Frisco, Texas.

KU coach Lance Leipold and his program are in the midst of attempting to bounce back from a disappointing 2024 campaign. Despite having high expectations that year, including competing for a Big 12 title, Kansas finished 5-7 overall and 4-5 against the Big 12 and didn’t play in a bowl game. Considering the Jayhawks are going to be opening a new-look David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium this season, there’s still a lot of attention around what Leipold and company are capable of in 2025 in Lawrence.

At Big 12 media days, which a league release outlined are going to be at the NFL organization Dallas Cowboys’ global headquarters, Kansas will be represented by four veterans set to have key roles on the team. On the offensive side of the ball, there’s redshirt senior quarterback Jalon Daniels and redshirt senior offensive lineman Bryce Foster. On the defensive side of the ball, there’s redshirt senior defensive end Dean Miller and redshirt senior defensive tackle D.J. Withers.

Jalon Daniels, quarterback

Daniels has battled injuries during his Kansas career, and this year has been working his way back from another, but when healthy is capable of leading a Jayhawks offense that can be difficult to stop.
