Alabama football has added a big target to its 2026 wide receiver room.
Brian Williams Jr., a three-star out of Orlando, Florida, committed to Alabama Tuesday, July 1. He chose the Crimson Tide over programs such as Notre Dame, Kentucky, Florida and Penn State. He is the second wide receiver to join Alabama’s 2026 class along with Nashville three-star Owen Cabell.
Williams is Alabama’s 16th commit in the 2026 class. He is ranked as the No. 798 player and the No. 118 wide receiver in the country per 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Williams was first offered by Alabama in April, one in a string of high-profile offers from programs like Georgia, Florida State and the Nittany Lions.
“When he called me, I could tell right away, it’s a business,” Williams said of his first impression of JaMarcus Shephard and Alabama. “I’m not going to sugarcoat nothing. When you go there, it’s time to work. If you don’t perform, you’re out. You know, it’s just work, work, work. He was very straightforward with everything. … And I appreciated that.”
Williams is Alabama’s first Florida commit of 2026 after landing offensive lineman Michael Carroll out of IMG Academy and safety Ivan Taylor in 2025.
What Brian Williams Jr. commitment means for Alabama football
Williams’ recruiting process may have been slower than others. But the 6-foot-4, 185-pound receiver out of Lake Mary High School outside of Orlando knows the kind of receiver he will be for Alabama.
Williams describes himself as “a 6-4 guy who can run routes like he’s 5-5, release like he’s 5-5 but catch the ball like he’s a 6-4 big man.”
